Activity Overview
Join us for an extraordinary whale watching experience in Mauritius, where you'll get up close to these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. We depart early in the morning from Tamarin Public Beach and provide optional private pickup and dropoff from/to any accommodations in Mauritius.
Mauritius is home to several whale species and they can be observed all the year round with them being most active between July and November. Sperm whale comes closer to the coast of Mauritius all year round while in winter, pilot and humpback whales who migrate in our waters can be spotted as well. The chances of spotting whale is on average 70% and depends on several factors like sea conditions, their behaviour and some unknowns.
Bonus: After the whale watching experience, we also bring to the wild dolphins location where you can swim with the dolphinsto make this a cruise of ultimate marine excitement.

Program
Here is an overview of the program. Note that transfer is optional. If you have your own vehicle (self-drive), we will share the meeting location and instructions with you.

Pickup (optional)
For an additional small fee, we will pick you up from your accommodation anywhere in Mauritius. Pickup time will vary depending on your location.

Embark on a speedboat
Get on our speedboat led by expert skippers and start the search for whales in the deep sea while enjoying the views of the coast lines.

Whale Watching
Once at the whale location, you will get an hour to observe the dolphins from the boat as they play in the waters. If conditions are fine, your skipper can even accompany you in the water for an even up-close view.

Swim with Dolphins
On our way back, we will take you to the dolphins spot where you get to swim with the dolphins - snorkelling gear will be provided for free.

Return to the shore
The boat will return to the shore - if you opted for transfer your driver will be there waiting for you to drive you back to your hotel or continue your island adventures.
To make sure that you enjoy your whale watching experience, we recommend bringing the following items:
- Sunscreen & hat
- Swimsuits & towel
- Spare clothes (just in case)
- Underwater camera (optional)
